Last week we read that Jesus wanted us to wait for help, to wait for the Advocate. I have good news, Jesus has sent us help indeed! He has given us His own Mother and has given us the Holy Spirit who is the Advocate. Fifty days after the resurrection, Jesus poured out the Holy Spirit during Pentecost. Mary was also with the Apostles at Pentecost. Mary is spouse of the Spirit, and they are always together! The Holy Spirit brought to fulfillment in Mary all the waiting of the Old Testament for the coming of Christ. I encourage you on this Pentecost/Mother’s Day to spend some time with both of your Mothers. Let your Mom know you are thankful for her and all the sacrifices she makes for you. And do not forget to thank your Mother, the Church, who loves you so much and wants nothing but the best for you!
